What Is Ray Of Hope ?

Ray of Hope is a support group based in North Sheffield, for families of children with any kind of special needs. We aim to provide peer support through regular meetings and coffee mornings along with access to information.

Special Needs ?

What exactly are Special needs?

Our children have a variety of special needs including Autistic spectrum disorders, epilepsy, genetic disorders, sensory difficulties, ADHD, tourette syndrome, OCD and learning difficulties. These things are what make our children special! We recognise our childrens individual abilities and unique personalities and encourage them to be proud of who they are. No child will be excluded because of their differences and strong friendships have been made within the group.

What Else Do We Do ?

We organise fun activities for the whole family during school holidays. Recent events have included

Disney on Ice
Eureka
Seaside
Science Museum
Pantomine
We have craft days and a fantastic christmas party where all family members can relax and have fun. We also have a comprehensive library of books relating to various special needs which members can borrow
